The mission of the Boys' Latin Robotics Organization (B.R.O.) is to inspire an appreciation of robotics and engineering throughout our school and city; build personal character through teamwork and competition; and gain knowledge of engineering through the processes of designing, building, and putting to use robots. The Boys' Latin Robotics Organization is sponsored by a Boys' Latin teacher. The annual challenge undertaken by the team is sponsored by US FIRST. All of the student members of the robotics team are also members of the Boys' Latin Jr. chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. Mission of US FIRST Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
